Frequently Asked Questions

What's The Best Way To Contact The Office?

For new clients, the best way to reach the office is by clicking the "New Clients" button at the top of the page or by emailing us directly at capepetsitting@gmail.com.

For existing clients, the best way to reach the office and your sitters is through the Conversation tab of your account via app or desktop version.

Please keep in mind that the owner of Cape Pet Sitting is also an active pet sitter and often isn't able to answer the phone right away.

Phone calls will only be returned if a voicemail is left.

How Do I Get Started?

After submitting an account request by clicking the "New Clients" button at the top of the page, you will receive an account activation email. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive an email response within 24 hours.

Once your account is activated and you provide us with some basic information, we will get you scheduled for a free client meeting where you will meet your sitters and we will ensure our services are a good fit for your needs.

Do You Provide Overnight In-Home Pet Care?

No, we do not provide service where a sitter stays in your home with your pet/s overnight. Our Evening visits begin between 8-9pm with our Morning visits starting between 7-8am to ensure your pet never has to wait more than 12 hours to go out.

Unfortunately, we are not aware of any other local professional pet sitters who provide in-home overnight service.

Are You Able To Administer Medication To Pets?

Your sitter can administer oral medication with the understanding that your pet/s must be present and agreeable. The full medication name, dose, and distribution method must be listed in your pet profile, along with the time block/s in which the medication is to be given.

If your pet requires injections or specific dosage times, you may want to look into boarding with a local vet.

Do you provide care for senior and special needs pets?

Yes! We have a lot of experience with senior pets, special needs, and training reinforcement.

The purpose of our free Client Meeting is to ensure that our services are a good fit for everyone. If we feel that we feel that your pet is beyond our service range, we are happy to help you find the best pet care option for you and your family.

How Do I Request A Last Minute Visit?

Any visit for today or tomorrow is considered "last minute" and must be requested through the Conversation tab of your account. We will always try our best to accommodate last minute service requests but we cannot guarantee that we will have a sitter available.

There is a fee of $10 per visit for any visits considered "last minute".

Do I Have To Pay The Extra Pet Rate For Every Visit?

Yes, the extra pet rate will be applied to each visit in the appointment.

In order for your pet to be covered by our insurance, and for your sitter to provide pet first & CPR in an emergency situation, all pets must be included on each visit.
